After having lived in this home near Forest Grove, OR, for two years, this family was ready to fix the issue of not having warm bedrooms in the winter.
Solution
The home was built in the 1950’s when a lot of homes did not have a lot of insulation work done. After meeting with the owner to talk about what she has been experiencing in her home and what she is hoping to accomplish for her family, our energy consultant investigated the home. He found the attic’s insulation was spotty (see photo) and by using his diagnostic equipment, he could tell the exterior walls had no insulation.
Our crew insulated the walls and the attic with blown-in cellulose insulation. This helped to reach their goal of having warmer bedrooms!
