When this Lebanon homeowner realized the musty smell in his home was coming from under his house, he ventured down and found to his surprise all his insulation had been ripped down, torn apart, and some was just completely missing! (see BEFORE photo)
Completely shocked, he had found our website through Home Advisor and submitted a form asking for some help with his insulation. We sent out one of our most experienced consultants to crawl around under the house and identify where the smell was coming from as well as what had happened to the insulation.
Our consultant found that the smell was actually a mixture from all the moisture the crawl space had harbored as well as rodents that had expired while trying to steal his insulation!
Our solution: We removed all damaged insulation from the crawl space along with the vapor barrier, then we sprayed three inches of closed-cell spray foam on the crawl space ceiling and added a new ground cover. (see AFTER photo)
Now? This home no longer has that terrible musty smell inside AND the insulation stays in one spot, on the ceiling of his crawl space!
