Skylights are bad as they lose a lot of air you paid to heat. This Creswell, OR home’s skylight had the usual metal sleeve that hardly does any insulating. (see BEFORE photo) The air you pay to heat in the winter easily escapes in to your attic. In the summer, hot air comes down into the home from sky lights.
Our crew spray foamed over the skylight (see AFTER photo) before they blew in new cellulose insulation into the attic. With the skylight insulated and new cellulose blown in, these homeowners will be much more comfortable in all seasons.
