Mobile Home's Insulation Just Sitting On Ground!
Completion date: December 22, 2017
Location: Springfield, OR
The owners of this Springfield, OR mobile home knew there were some issues with the vapor barrier under their home in a mobile home park and found us in the yellow pages. They called for an appointment for one our Energy Consultants to come out and look underneath.
Besides seeing that the vapor barrier needed to be replaced, our Energy Consultant saw the insulation was sitting on the ground! (see both photos) We see this quite often in mobile homes. The cross-over duct between the two sides also needed to be sealed and insulated.
Our crew removed all the old insulation and the old vapor barrier, sealed and insulated the cross-over ductwork, installed a “belly bag” liner, and then blew the insulation in to this bag.
Now living in their mobile home is much more comfortable!
