"Amazing Insulation Experience"
Now there is only a 1.5-degree difference between the thermostat in the main hall and the basement.
Amazing Insulation Experience
I had Josh Lowe’s Energy Saver recently do a crawlspace insulation replacement, and it was a great experience all around. From Jackson who came to give me the quote to Rakim and Finneas who did the foam job to Courtney in the office, everything was well explained and performed. I have a daylight basement and a cavernous crawl space with old fiberglass insulation letting in cold damp air constantly. The basement was significantly less comfortable than the main floor. It could often feel like you were entering a walk-in fridge as you neared the bottom of the stairs. We also had the problem of a neighbor idling a diesel truck pretty much daily right next to our foundation vents. We would regularly have our entire house saturated with diesel exhaust. Not anymore. They replaced the old insulation with spray foam, and now there is only a 1.5-degree difference between the thermostat in the main hall and the basement, and none of our house air is coming from the crawlspace. It’s amazing! Thanks JL’s Dr. Energy Saver!!

Everything You Need to Know
Does insulation prevent mold growth?
Proper insulation in the crawl space can help prevent mold by reducing moisture levels. Insulation materials like spray foam create a barrier against moisture infiltration, which lowers the risk of mold and mildew development.
What is the cost of crawl space insulation?
The cost of crawl space insulation varies based on the size of the area, the type of insulation materials chosen, and the complexity of the installation. For a precise estimate, a professional assessment is recommended.
What signs indicate I need insulation?
Signs that your crawl space may need insulation include uneven home temperatures, higher than usual energy bills, musty odors indicating mold, or visible signs of moisture or pests in the crawl space. Professional evaluation can further identify insulation needs.
What types of insulation can be used?
Common types of insulation for crawl spaces include foam board insulation, fiberglass batts, and spray foam insulation. Each type has its benefits, such as moisture resistance, ease of application, or effectiveness in blocking airflow.
