Challenge:
When this Eugene, OR homeowner was referred to us by a previous customer, knowing her floors were freezing cold, we scheduled an appointment to have our consultant Sean come out and investigate her house to see how to make it more comfortable and energy efficient.
Solution:
Sean found fiberglass insulation in the crawlspace that should have been on the ceiling was actually “insulating” the ground (photos 1, 2 and 3)!
After showing Ms. Homeowner the state of her crawlspace, she chose our company to help solve her issue.
Our insulation crew removed the old torn up fiberglass insulation, installed a new 6-mil black visqueen ground cover, and sprayed two inches thick of closed-cell spray foam to air seal and insulate the floors (Photo 4). Not only was this homeowner thrilled with our work, come winter they will have warm & comfy floors!
