Our energy consultant crawled into the attic and saw a minuscule amount of insulation spread across the attic floor. (see photo 1) This, plus no air-sealing, was the reason their electrical bills were so high!
Our insulation crew took out the old insulation, prepared the attic floor by air-sealing with Zyp foam to plug the leaks, and then blew in TruSoft cellulose to a blanket of R-49.
