Job Stories From Clackamas County, OR
Lake Oswego Area Home's Crawl Space Encapsulated

This homeowner called us because she had already used our insulation services for another home she owns.  She suspected the home she lives in had moisture issues underneath it.  The right level of moisture is the right environment for mold to grow, and it also attracts animals.  For her Lake Oswego home, she chose to have us encapsulate the crawl space to create a healthy and dry environment.  Our insulation crew removed the old fiberglass batting from the walls under the home and sprayed closed-cell spray foam to create a barrier.  Along with the encapsulation of the crawl space, a SaniDry CX crawl space air system and a SmartSump sump pump (see photo) were installed.  All of these measure create a healthier environment for her home since 50% of the air she breathes on the first floor of her home comes from this crawl space.

Mold Growing in West Linn, OR Home

These homeowners in West Linn, Oregon thought that the insulation work they had done a few years ago in their crawl space was adequate, but mold was growing in their home.  They met us at a home show in Portland and set up an appointment for one of our Energy Consultants to investigate.  The underneath of the home was very wet!  They chose to install a crawl space encapsulation system, including the SmartSump sump pump and the SaniDry CX air dehumidifier.

Room Made More Comfortable in Happy Valley, OR Home

When you have a room in your home that is uncomfortable, and all the other rooms are good, there must be a good reason. This Happy Valley, OR family met with our energy consultant and explained what they were looking to accomplish. When he investigated in the attic, there was some insulation above this room, but it was fiberglass batting, and it also didn’t cover everything.  Fiberglass acts as an air filter rather than a good insulator.

They chose to have the old insulation removed, the air leakage areas sealed (which we could see once the fiberglass was removed), and then TruSoft™ blown-in cellulose insulation added in.  This acts as a big blanket that will keep the warmed air inside that room in the winter.

Movie Set in Clackamas, OR Needing Spray Foam

We love to help everyone make their homes more comfortable; when we got a call about whether we could spray foam a movie set so they could have a certain textured look on the wall, we said we sure can!

New Windows in Oregon City, OR Home

The Oregon City, OR home built in the late 1990’s did not have quality windows installed when it was built. The owner was ready for an upgrade to help with sound dampening and to make her home look better. After meeting with our owner, she chose to move forward with replacing six of her main windows, including the three bedrooms.

Damascus, OR Homeowners Want to Reduce Allergens

One of the family members living in this 4-bedroom home in Damascus, OR had allergies. They thought they might have mold growing in the home that was making the allergies worse. They met us at a Portland area home and garden show and set an appointment for one of our Energy Consultants to investigate the home.

Our Energy Consultant did find mold growing in the attic! The bath fan was dumping moist air into the attic, making it the right humidity level for mold to take hold and take off growing.

The owners chose to move forward with treating the roof deck with Mold-X; it kills existing mold and neutralizes any further growth. The bath fan was routed to the outdoors, then the old insulation was removed. Our crew sealed air leaks, covered can lights with covers, and then blew in TruSoft™ cellulose to the better R-60 level.

Home in Oregon City, OO Made More Comfortable with Attic Insulation

This Oregon City, OR homeowner already removed old insulation from the attic and needed it to be re-insulated. Besides having our crew install rockwool batting, our crew first air sealed all the areas where there was air leakage from the rooms below. She told us afterwards that it has all made a huge difference in her home's comfort!

Canby, OR Home Prepared For Sale by Fixing Crawl Space Insulation issues

This house in Canby, OR was being prepared for sale and the owner wanted assistance dealing with issues in the crawl space. And there were issues in the crawl space! (see photo)

With the insulation hanging down in some places and on the ground in others, evidence of rodents, and a dryer vent blowing moist air under the home, there were a lot of items to fix under this home.

The owner chose our company to do all the removal, repair, and re-insulation work. This house is now ready for market!

Beavercreek, OR Attic Moldy from Kitchen Fan Exhausting to Attic

It was no wonder this Beavercreek, OR attic had mold growing; the kitchen fan was just vented right into the attic. It had been dumping moist air into the attic for years. Mold likes to grow when the relative humidity is above 75%.

To deal with the issues, the owner had our crew vent that kitchen fan to the actual outside of the house. The crew then applied Mold-X to neutralize the existing mold.
