Before and After Pictures from Dallas
Dallas, OR Homeowners Seal Air Leakage Around Can Lights

Dallas, OR Homeowners Seal Air Leakage Around Can Lights

Before After
Dallas, OR Homeowners Seal Air Leakage Around Can Lights Dallas, OR Homeowners Seal Air Leakage Around Can Lights

These Dallas, Oregon homeowners understood how leaky their home was with all the recessed ceiling lights inside their house (see BEFORE photo).  Air they were paying to heat/cool was leaking in to the attic around each of their many recessed lights.

To help greatly reduce the leakage, our insulation crew covered each can light with a fire-resistant cover (see AFTER photo). They then held each in place with foam that also sealed the bottom to the attic deck.  These covers then allowed our crew to blow in cellulose over the light covers--without these covers, there would need to be a few feet of space around each light, which would reduce the effectiveness of the insulation.

Spray Foam Insulation Experts

Spray foam insulation is the best choice for insulation if you’re looking to increase your comfort & decrease your energy bills. Spray foam insulation is truly the best option for home insulation and here are a few reasons why. Spray Foam Insulation provides an air barrier due to its ability to fill gaps and cracks. It is also great at staying in the hard to reach areas because of its super-adhesive qualities. Spray foam insulation is also waterproof, unlike fiberglass and cellulose insulation. Water will not be able to pass through the foam which makes it an extremely durable and long-lasting product. Lastly, spray foam insulation is foolproof. Spray foam is sprayed as a liquid and then expands and hardens to fill voids and gaps. There is never any chance for an area to be missed or void to form. Once cured spray foam insulation will stay in place for decades to come and will never shift or settle like fiberglass. To ensure your home has the best insulation available and your energy bills are low, switch to spray foam insulation today!

Benefits of Spray Foam Insulation Include:

  • spray foam works in all areas of the home
  • has a greater R-value
  • acts as an air sealant
  • is waterproof
  • leaves no gaps

Home Insulation Company

All the heat that you pump throughout your home in the winter can cost more than you anticipated. One of the largest reasons for the high bill you see every month is that your home is not properly insulated and the heat is escaping outside. Josh Lowe's Dr. Energy Saver is your Dallas expert for all types of insulation including rigid foam, attic, crawl space, blown-in, and spray foam insulation. Wherever the air is escaping we can insulate it whether it be through walls, your basement, your attic, or in the crawl spaces.

Custom Home Energy Audits

Our goal is to make your Dallas home more comfortable, more health friendly, and less expensive to heat and cool. In our energy audit evaluation, we inspect your home and provide reports on the condition of major systems like ductwork and insulation. We then check air leakage areas throughout the house to identify weak points where you are losing energy. We then provide recommendations with realistic expectations for energy improvements and offer a free estimate for proposed work.

Job Stories From Dallas, OR
Dallas, OR Attic Mostly Empty of Insulation

This Dallas, OR homeowner had just moved in to his house and could tell fairly quickly that he was not going to be comfortable in this home. The attic had a few inches of old insulation, and that was it.

After finding our company online and meeting with our Energy Consultant, the home investigation showed there indeed was nothing even close to adequate insulation in the attic!

Our insulation crew of four started by removing what little insulation there was in the attic.  This opened up all the areas to air seal the gaps where conditioned air from their house was leaking up in to the attic.  The attic was then insulation with blown-in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation to the R-49 insulation level.  The homeowner is much more comfortable and enjoying his new home.

N Fir Villa Rd in Dallas
We have an old farmhouse that has been gutted to the frame and we are in the process of remodeling. We are adding a master suite in the upstairs attic space, and all attic rafters are 2x4 and first floor wall studs are 2x4 also, so we want to make sure we are getting the best possible energy efficiency and comfort, especially upstairs under a metal roof. We would like to explore the various insulation options vs. costs to help us make the best decision. We also want to understand the benefits of a non-vented attic space (using HRVs) versus trying to retrofit the attic to be vented. Thank you in advance!
