This home in Grants Pass, OR was built in 1993 but the homeowner had only lived in it for two years and had experienced uncomfortable summers because she couldn’t keep the house cool. She ran the air conditioner non-stop but her friends didn’t even want to come over for their usual monthly potluck dinners because of the heat.

She found Josh Lowe’s Dr. Energy Saver at the Grants Pass Home Show and after receiving several bids she decided Dr. Energy Saver was the perfect fit. Josh, the energy specialist, performed a whole home evaluation and discovered maggots living in her crawl space. “Working with Josh was excellent. He is fun, professional and informative,” she said.

She decided to encapsulate her entire crawl space. This included drainage matting, TerraBlock, spray foam, a SmartSump and SaniDry equipment. She also had all her ductwork replaced with hard pipe instead of the original flex pipe in there because there was a huge bend in it that was restricting air flow.

To further keep her home comfortable, the homeowner decided to replace all of the batt insulation in her attic and have TruSoft cellulose blown in with everything including the can lights air sealed.

The homeowner has already noticed a huge difference in her home being comfortable and is hosting the monthly friend potluck this weekend. “I would definitely refer Josh Lowe’s Dr. Energy Saver to a friend,” she said. We are so pleased to be able to help another happy customer!
